Friday a.m. - Philadelphia

 Since we have a day to spend in Philly, we're going to play tourist! Make the best of the situation! There is a hop-on hop-off here and we're going to give that a go. Neither of us has been here before so Liberty Bell, Rocky statue, and Philly cheesesteak here we come!

Our flight is out of here at 7:40 pm still going thru London Heathrow then finally to Glasgow. We'll Uber over to Edinburgh and find the nearest pub!

Now, as for our seatmate on the Nash-Phil flight. Wowzer! Bev and I booked our seats weeks ago, paid extra to be where we wanted - Bev on the aisle, me on the window. Center seat, well, that's where this chick was. Totally full flight. She boarded first so was already seated and had to move to the aisle to let me in. Bev and I were chatting, talking to her as well even tho' she wasn't . We get settled in and Bev and I are trying to discuss whether we'll be able to make our Philly connection. Center seat lady, who we have now named "Blanche" after a horrible movie character, Blanche says, "please don't talk over me." I said we were on a tight connection - "well, we're ALL on a tight connection." I started to say, I'm sorry - - -"no you're not or you'd stop, that's what my mother taught me". Oh, just a lovely person. Told Bev to pay attention to the attendants safety instructions. Thankfully, it was a short (2 hr. flight)

Poor lady, she has to go thru life as an awful person. Bev and I were texting back & forth about her. So there!

Otherwise, we dealt with some absolutely wonderful, helpful people. The lady in Nashville that helped with a check-in issue, the American Airlines lady that got us re-booked here in Philly, shuttle drivers, hotel people, and the 2 young men who ran with us, carrying our bags, trying to make our flight. They way outnumber the Blanche's of the world.

Oh, and we had to kill a little time in the Nashville airport so headed to - of course - a bar. While there we met, fist bumped a guy that we both know is "somebody". We just didn't know who. I personally thought Bradley Cooper but Bev doesn't agree.

So, hopefully, we'll have some fun in rainy, windy, chilly Philly today (it'll get us ready for Scotland), we'll fly out tonite, and tomorrow - Scotland! Maybe Philly pics later!
